Our tips for the summer

Summer can be tough on even the toughest hair, especially if it's long, colored or dry. However, there are some precautions to follow to preserve the health of your hair, thus avoiding having to cut it to recover damage!

 

Here are Insight's tips of things to do in the summer to take care of your hair.

 

1. Use a protective spray

Like the protective spray of the Insight Antioxidant line. Always carry with you, on the beach or in the pool, to have hair always in order, hydrated and protected from sunlight, wind or salt. You can also use it in the city, to protect yourself from the sun, but also from atmospheric pollution.

 

2. Always rinse your hair with fresh water

After every swim in the sea or in the pool. It is an indispensable gesture to remove salt or chlorine from the hair fiber. Once at home, use specific shampoos that eliminate any residue: for example the Shampoo from the Antioxidant line or the Dry hair line, in case of very dry hair.

 

3. If you have colored hair, use specific products

4. Let your hair dry naturally

Without using the hair dryer. It is also advisable to reduce the use of the plate or iron as much as possible. 5. Provide nourishment with a mask

Like the restructuring one from the Damaged Hair line. Remember to nourish sun-sensitized hair and salt at least once a week by applying a restorative mask. Leave it on for at least 10 minutes on all lengths, and then rinse.

Like the skin, the hair also needs hydration: to support the action of the mask the best allies are water and a good diet rich in fruit and vegetables, to nourish the hair from the inside.

 

6. Wear a hat

When you are walking by the sea. It may seem trivial, but wearing a bandana or a hat when exposed to the sun shields your hair from UV rays: at the end of the summer they will be much less damaged!
